Although we live in an age when money, possessions and prestige have become more important than ever. Prosperity is not about those things. True prosperity is living a life of peace and security knowing that your needs and the needs of your family are met. It is about living a life based on your values, about integrity, about love of family and friends, about meaningful work and enjoying the fruits of your labor. Prosperity gives you the ultimate freedom to pursue your real genius and uniquely apply it to leave a great legacy.

Lessons Learned

The day after I finally made my first post to this blog my hard drive failed. Three days later I left for a long planned trip. I am just getting my business life back in order and am ready to post away.

What I know about partnerships was totally reinforced following my computer panic. I was able to call upon a computer consultant that I have been coaching pro bono and he arranged for a new hard drive to be installed within 2 days. He was also the person who badgered me to back up my data and I did have most of it backed up.

The lessons I learned (or should I say re-learned) were:

Build relationships with people who know alot about things you don't.
Take these experts' advice.
Always give first when building these relationships.
Remember the law of reciprocity.
Ask for help when you need it.
Pay it back or pay it forward.

Lifetime TV show about a special partnership

A very special type of business partnershis is formed when life-partners also become business partners. I call these partners Couplepreneurs.

The story of Couplepreneur food writers Jane and Michael Stern will be featured in the Lifetime Original Movie "Ambulance Girl", starring Kethy Bates, on Monday, September 12 at 9 pm et/pt.

It includes the stories of three additional high profile Couplepreneurs, or as the writer calls them, couple entrepreneurs. I am quoted several times in the article and also helped the writer extract the lessons from each couple's experiences.

What I learned from working with the author is that there are many more Couplepreneurs in this country than I thought. She said she was inundated with requests to be interviewed for her article. I was very glad to hear this, as I am on a mission to convince people that this is a great business model for many couples.
